        <title>Development Node Configuration Change</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;On Tuesday, April 14th, at 8:00PM, we will be applying a configuration change to the development nodes in order to increase system stability. This change will reserve a portion of memory solely for system processes. This will mitigate situations where high memory demand could otherwise cause development nodes to become unresponsive.         <title>HPCC Scheduled Maintenance</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;The HPCC will be unavailable on Thursday, May 7 starting at 5AM for regularly scheduled maintenance. No jobs will run during this time.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Jobs that will not be completed before this date will not begin until after maintenance is complete. For example, if you submit a four day job three days before the maintenance outage, your job will be postponed and will not begin to run until after maintenance is completed.&lt;/p&gt;

        <title>Operating System Updates Beginning 4/1/2026</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;Over the next several weeks, ICER will be performing minor operating system updates across all nodes in the HPCC. During this time, users may notice longer queue times and some nodes unavailable in Slurm while they are being updated. Once the updates are complete, nodes will be returned to service and jobs will continue to schedule and run. Because these are minor updates, the software and module system is unaffected.         <title>Scheduler Reboot at 8:00PM on 3/9/26 - RESOLVED</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;RESOLVED 8:02PM: The scheduling server is back online.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;At 8:00PM on Monday, March 9th, the SLURM scheduling server will go offline for a reboot. This reboot is necessary to increase the host’s memory and improve stability. The scheduler is expected to be offline for less than 15 minutes. During this time, jobs may not be submitted and scheduler specific client commands will not work (e.g. squeue, sbatch, etc).         <title>Request Tracker (RT) Upgrade -- RESOLVED</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;Resolved 2/27/2026: The ticketing system has been updated and is back online.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Request Tracker (rt.hpcc.msu.edu) will be unavailable starting 7am on Tues March 3rd until 12pm.  During that time no tickets can be created or referenced.  The Contact Form will be unavailable too.  We are migrating to a newer major version.  We will provide updates here as needed.&lt;/p&gt;

        <title>Open OnDemand terminal issue in Firefox 148</title>
        <description>&lt;p&gt;RESOLVED 3/3: OnDemand has been updated to fix this bug. You may need to restart your OnDemand session to realize this change. You can reset your session by clicking &lt;a href=&quot;https://ondemand.hpcc.msu.edu/nginx/stop?redir=/pun/sys/dashboard/&quot;&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The latest update to the Firefox web browser, version 148, has caused a failure in the Open OnDemand terminal. 
Users will see a white screen instead of the expected terminal view. 
We are waiting on the Open OnDemand development team to produce a patch.
In the meantime, please use a different web browser, or connect to the HPCC terminal using an SSH client.
